Who are the Marty Rose Band?
The Short Story: the Marty Rose Band is a group of extremely experienced musicians who present to their audiences the music that they have grown up with, and in some cases, written the songs themselves, or have a special connection to the music they present.
Marty has been playing solo piano for 25 years, with regular guest performances on The Morning TV show hosted by Bert Newton, working with such artists as Olivia Newton-John and Lisa Edwards, plus performing for Lady Di and Prince Charles.
Marty cites his musical influences from the Beatles, Elton John, Billy Joel and Steely Dan amongst many others.
David joined the Little River Band as lead guitarist and toured the world with the LRB, performing and recording until 1981. He has performed on huge concert stages with some of the world’s biggest names and has also performed with the Doobie Brothers and the Steve Miller Band. He wrote The Lonesome Loser, the most played LRB song on US radio of 1979, which was nominated for a Grammy Award.
